Programs
Our centre features many innovative programs including swimming, pony riding, environmental awareness programs, gardening, theatre room and more. We strive to provide a safe, fun & nurturing environment for your child and family and aim to create a culture of wellbeing by promoting healthy lifestyle choices for children, families & staff.
Swimming
Knowing how to swim is a lifelong skill and a terrific, healthy activity. With Ryan Road Childcare & Swim School, children learn to be safe around the water and acquire that great feeling that comes with learning and attaining new skills. We pride ourselves on small class sizes (1:4 for under 3’s and 1:2 for over 3’s) with highly qualified and professional teachers. We focus on the key elements of aquatics: stroke development, personal safety, sports and games plus personal growth and development. Classes are held for babies, toddlers and children. If your child is under 3yrs of age a parent, grandparent or guardian must accompany your child. This is a great way to participate in the centre activities. For a lifetime of fun, fitness and water safety, classes are available each week at no additional cost to every child enrolled at the centre.
Ponies
We accommodate two good natured and lovable ponies who enjoy the interaction as much as the children do. Upon parents authorisation each child is scheduled once a fortnight for their pony program, which includes not just riding but also feeding and grooming.
Pre School
Starting school is a big change for children; our “pre-prep” program is designed to prepare your child and yourself for this defining moment in life. This is a year of enhancing independence and attuning your child to their new world ahead of them. To ensure your child’s transition from childcare to school is as smooth and happy as possible, your child will need to be capable of some basic skills including: dressing and undressing, doing their own shoelaces, using a tissue; self toileting, identifying their own items, playing with groups of children sharing and taking turns. Our experienced staff communicate with the local schools and parents throughout the year to ensure this transition is as easy as can be.Before & After School Care.
Our programs provide a wide range of supervised creative, recreational and play activities that assist in the social, emotional, creative and physical development of your child. Supervised by qualified and experienced staff, the program provides a safe environment where children interact in a relaxed atmosphere with time for free play, organised activities or an opportunity to complete homework set in class.

Indoor Play
With an emphasis on free play, children are permitted to choose from several activities which include books, puzzles, construction, cars, blocks or home corner. A variety of art activities are always available and may include play dough, painting or pasting.
Outdoor Play
Outdoor space is conducive to developing gross motor skills such as climbing, running, throwing and jumping. Our outdoor program includes a free time and a structured program whereby staff are required to plan and participate in the activities. Some outdoor activities include ball games, bikes, scooters, sand play, water play & gardening.

Activities
Include art and craft, puzzles, books, sand & water play, dolls, cars and trucks, home corner, construction, blocks and much more.
Theatre Room
Used for the purpose of education and fun, our theatre room is always a hit with the children. Join us for our grandparents and friends movie day, lots of popcorn and lots of fun. Television is not included in our centre program.
Herb & Vegie Garden
Gardening teaches children how to be patient in this “instant gratification” world we live in. Children learn how bees, butterflies and other pollinators help the garden to grow, and that without them the garden would never produce fruits or vegetables. Involving children in gardening gives them a sense of ownership and a sense of accomplishment when they are able to enjoy the fruits of their labour, literally.
